The Quangsheng model does not really matter, the point is there is an internal issue with this model of radio that whilst it seems a great radio working and operating when safe to do so one-handed every so often thew radio turns itself off and then back on again, so if you were in scan mode you have to start all over again.

Operating Ham Radio Mobile with the Quangsheng UV-6?

Operating Ham Radio Mobile with the Quangsheng UV-6? - there is no known reason why the radio would turn itself off the battery fits so very snug.

Operating Ham Radio Mobile with the Quangsheng UV-6? - The belt clip is sturdy, it moves a little not too much but does well or so I thought, battery wise it was more than enough to use from Saltash to Devonport Park and Back again a day trip cycling at around 10mph. But I soon noticed the radio had stopped on a random channel, usually when im driving my e-bike ive set the top channel to 145.525 the frequency we use to chat when Im meeting Steve in the park (Fellow) radio-ham, and 156.700 - the 2nd frequency used to monitor the local shipping movement - Plymouth VTS (Formerly Longroom).

Anyway the radio is now for sale, selling as parts, if anyone's interested please be sure to let me know.

The bike mount I use is the one found here. Its only £29.99 but worth it.
