I cant beleive it was a 10 mile round trip, still it was nice to see my good friend Steve M3CLX, we both go back years and have both been licneced radio amateurs for years too.
I had on me a Quangshemg UV and he had his trusty Baofeng, we made some good contacts shortly before meeting in the park and then on the way home.
The worst part for me was the road by the extrance to the dock gate in Plymouth but it wasnt too bad.
Earlier in the day I met with my friend Darrcee for lunch before she and Trix (doggy) left Saltash for a holiday, so helped her calm her nerves ahead of the trip that night. Give her credit where its due for a single woman who has her issues and stresses to just book the trip and go to Sussex all by herself is incredible.
